Green School Action Day

We had a fantastic Green School Action Day. We highlighted all the trees we planted for National Tree Week. We made our own Eco blocks from newspaper. Very messy but great fun. We had an excellent talk on recycling waste, which the children and teachers found most useful. Finally, pupils from our Green Schools Committee, taught all the children how to classify their rubbish. Brilliant day. Well done to everyone who put so much work into making the day such a brilliant success.

Credit Union Quiz

Well done to both of our quiz teams. They were just excellent at the recent Credit Union Quiz held in our school. Well done lads.

RDS Young Scientist

Building on our previous four appearances at the RDS Young Scientist Exhibition, this was our first trip to Limerick. Forty schools exhibited excellent science projects in what was a very busy and fun day. We were very well reviewed and this was reflected in the Daily Mail article which featured our project. Well done to all concerned and especially Mr Percy who has done tremendous work after school teaching the children coding.
Also, the children very much enjoyed our stop off at Barak Obama Plaza, on the final day of Mr Obama’s presidency! Great boys and a great day.
